DataComms provides a cost-effective and secure delivery of a broadband VPN service called VPNnet, a private ADSL network solution. |
VPNnet is particularly suitable for project groups, remote offices and teleworking environments where security and centralised communication is a critical factor.
VPNnet is an entirely private network solution based on BT's ADSL service. Unlike other VPN services, no VPNnet data traffic travels over the Internet. The service is therefore inherently more secure and has higher data-carrying capacity because no Virtual Private Network 'tunnelling' is required.
User authentication can be simplified to a simple logon.
DataComms DSL has been designed and developed in order to deliver high speed ADSL / SDSL Broadband for extended Broadband Corporate Networks and Internet access. DataComms DSL utilises existing copper BT phone lines to bring high speed, 'always on' connectivity to users.
VPNnet offers
- A completely private, low cost network
- 'Always on' 24x7 connectivity
- Choice of ADSL broadband services from 512Kbps to 2000Kbps download
- Flat rate subscription pricing - no more large phone bills
- No minimum contract length
- 24x7 DataComms Europe technical support
- Single point of contact for all broadband services
- Single monthly bill for all services (if required)
- No visit to the client site is required to install the service
- Simple plug-and-play implementation
A range of supplementary services including authentication, managed firewall services and remote data backup/storage
All connections are routed via a private network back to the DataComms Data centre in London, where additional services can be accessed.
Many companies have already experienced the inflexibility of bulk broadband suppliers when seeking to create an extended corporate network to support teleworking, distributed offices, project groups and extranets with broadband connections.
DataComms provides a single point of contact for the provisioning, management and support of the extended corporate network without the need to maintain multiple relationships with several vendors for connectivity and ISP services.
DataComms ADSL (broadband delivered over the telephone lines) services enable customers to use their existing BT telephone service to deliver affordable, high-speed access to the corporate network and other on-line services over ordinary telephone lines. This does not affect normal use of the telephone for voice calls and fax services.
In addition, DataComms unique set-up allows the creation of entirely private network solutions using ADSL services.

Initial service arrangements (Equipment delivery, any software to be provided and and full provisioning, etc.) can be discussed before the service is implemented.
Regular service meetings will ensure that the implementation and support service meets the client's requirement.
