Why is InterVault better than Online Backup?
- Ever tried to recover a large amount of data, say 10 Gigabytes, via a broadband link? It could take up to a week to restore! That's why we keep a copy of your data on-site, in case of a crisis .
This is know as 'Tier 1 copy'
- If something was to happen at your business location, say a fire or flood (etc.), our mirrored copy of your data would be available within 6 hours at your new location (as specified in our SLA).
This is know as 'Tier 2 copy'
- Your complete backup process is fully managed remotely by us, from your network to our data centre. This includes the on-site InterVault hardware unit which we monitor every 5 minutes to make sure we have a live backup path.
